Collective trauma and the construction of peace – Power relations of oppression and recovery conference
On 21 February 2025 the MCC co-hosts a conference titled “Collective trauma and the construction of peace – Power relations of oppression and recovery conference”. The conference offers an opportunity to think together about the meanings and consequences of collective traumas and also the possibilities of joint healing and recovery of all people between the river and the sea. One of these collective traumas discussed in the conference concerns ethnic trauma of Mizrahim (Jews from Arab and Muslim countries) in Israel and its political implications for advancing social justice, democracy, equality and peace.
You are invited to register here for the special conference led by Dr. Zehorit Asulin in her lecture on “The intersectionality of the ethnic trauma with the October 7th trauma” and an open discussion on “when collective trauma intersects with ethnic trauma”.
